Number of Races in SeriesThe series will run from January to December and it is proposed that there are 9 races in the series ranging from 5 km to half marathon in distance. To qualify for a finishing position within the series runners must have competed in at least 4 races including a minimum of one half marathon.Grand Prix ScoringMen's and ladies individual scoring will be based on the best score from a minimum of 4 races. Individual placing will be on a points system. If for example there are 50 athletes in the grand prix then the 1st runner will receive 50 points second runner 49 points and so on.Bucks AA medals to be awarded to the first three men and ladies at the end of the series. Within the minimum 4 races athletes must complete at least 1 half marathon. LeaguesThere will be one league for men and another for ladies. If there is sufficient interest then divisions within the league can be set up according to age categories.OrganisationThe league will be administered, on behalf of the Bucks Athletic Association, by Martin McPheat (MKAC). The race series will be made up from existing road races or new races that are open to all comers but are on SEAA certified courses.Race OrganisersThe race organisers must send entry forms to all league clubs as soon as available. A set of results must be sent to all clubs or if to be posted on their web site the URL is included on the entry form. Results should show runners by sex, club and position in race by sex. |
