Vacancy for Bucks AA Womens's Team Manager

There is a vacancy for a Women's Team Manager for the Track and Field Season.
It is important that we fill this position, otherwise our athletes could be deprived of competition in this season's Inter-County Events. This would be very disappointing for our athletes, especially for the younger age groups.
There are four events for which the Team Manager would be primarily responsible for selecting the team (normally based on the county championship results), and team managing on the day. Help and advice would be available from other officers of the association as well as the coaches within the Buckinghamshire clubs.

This season's events are:

Sun / Mon 27th and 28th May
U.K.C.A.U. SENIOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS Bedford
(the number of athletes selected for this events probably means that attendance on the d ay is not essential)

Sunday 29th July
SOUTHERN COUNTIES U/13 TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP at Kingston-on-Thames

Sunday 5th August
SOUTHERN COUNTIES U/17 TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP at Crawley

Sunday 26th August
SEAA INTER-COUNTY U/20 & U/15 TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS at Copthall

If there is someone in your club who would be willing to take on this responsibility, then we would be very pleased to hear from them. If someone felt that they would be willing to manage just one or two of the above age groups, then that would also be a great help. Please reply to Chris Parkinson, Secretary, Buckinghamshire AA on 01 494 711125 or e-mail

10th February 2001 Reebok UKCAU Inter-County Cross Country Championships at Nottingham

A great day at Nottingham for the County with a record number of medal winners.

The Under 15 Girls team of Emma Hunt (4th), Gemma Turtle (6th), Kayleigh Docherty (25th)
and Charlotte Moss (44th) won the Silver Medal, losing the title to Hampshire by only one point.

The Under 13 Girls won Bronze Medal, the team comprising of Abby Roskilly, Charlie Gaspar
Kirsten Berryman and Caroline Fox

There was controversy over the results as in both cases the results published shortly
after the race gave the teams a higher placing, which was revised on further scrutiny.
